Im looking at one local for a project track car, its a 1990 240SX s13 front clip, k sport coils, SR20DET swap, and he says he's put in put in 24k . Its in perfect condition, besides a cracked rear bumper from a drifting accident and the guy only wants 5 grand. It sounds like a good deal but as I'm so new to the JDM circuit Im a little unsure. Any help or a link to a 240SX forum would be appreciated. thanks!

Hard to say...depends on how it runs and how well/cleanly the SR20 swap was done.

Just go with your gut and look the whole car over, make sure what you want to work works, and ensure the underbody is clean and solid (common problem) and that the car looks good for your purposes. Pretty much standard used car shopping stuff.

Oh, and compression test the engine before buying!

He is lying when he said he has invested that much into the car.

buy a stock and put an ls1 in it. you can spend less then 5k and blow his 24k doors off, in fact probably almost everyone you race.

zilvia.net/f is where you should go. def doesn't sound like 24k invested. should try to find a clean one and build it yourself. unless it's really clean, you gonna want to take it apart and install new gaskets and seals everywhere. for the sr20 that is. there are a couple of 97's for sale right now on zilvia. really clean.
