They've got a sale on they're HID conversion kit, its around $67 shipped, which is pretty damn cheap. So I was just wondering if anyone has ordered from them? I know somebody received two different colors on their bulbs and have to pay extra to get the right ones but...I dunno, little help? Thanks again mates

Bought two sets from vvme on Wednesday and they were delivered to my door on Friday afternoon.

China -> Norway in 3 days. That's pretty damn fast!

Installed one set so far and that one works perfectly, same colour temp on both bulbs.

Considering the fact that I payed the same amount for two sets incl. shipping from vvme that I would have to pay for one set here I'll take my chances :)

I had a ballast go out after 2 days. Gotta say, I was pretty disappointed. That being said, many people have them and have no problems with them.

I've actually heard good things about Xentec. My brother picked out a pair from them for his A4 and I'm going with DDM and we're going to compare. Mine were only a little more expensive.

I've spoken to the main person in Charge of distributing these units and here's how it works:

The material is all the same, but you'll pay more for someone with experice to put it together.
They supply all of the ebay people and these "tuners" who copy and paste stuff onto their ebay stores.

    Interesting concept, pay for experience...

    Re: How reliable is vvme.com?

Stay far away from VVME! Many people have received defective products, where either way to get it fixed you either pay to ship it to them, or you pay to get a new piece. Their customer service is complete shit. I was sent a bad ballast and the cheapest way to get it fixed was to pay to send it to them, then if they could send a current through it, pay another $25 to send it back.

I just go mine in a couple weeks ago. im deff satisfied with them for the under $70 shipped. i only drive with them on at night to prolong life, but sounds like ppl have good luck with driving all the time with headlights on. also ddmtuning has a good deal on there kit too, which include the slim ballasts.

Actually dude I bought a b5 cause hyundai's cost more and i couldn't afford one. Oh and if you consider this a luxury car you have obviously never seen a real luxury car or been to germany.

FYI the market price on your german luxury car is like 5 grand.......a.k.a less than a civic from the same year with the same mileage.

Not bad, not great.. they are use a Hella Gen 3 replica ballast. They are not waterproof (and neither are the real Hella Gen 3 ballast), so location is critical to reliability. My friend has them on his Evo, one of ballasts failed, which presumely due to water, due to the mounting location, which I sold my Xentec ballasts to, and told him if he had more issues, find a drier mounting location.

With cheap replicas, defect rates are much higher.

Though knock on wood, I have bought ebay Hella Gen 3 replica ballasts (and waterproofed) before to replace the OEM AL-lighting ballasts on my old car.

Using the OEM style connector (on the bulb), along with a H7 to D2S adapter, you can use high quality OEM Phillips D2S bulbs also.

yes. I am poor. you are rich. spend stupid amounts of money on shit for your car. that is why you buy ebay short shifters and knock of grills and wanted to paint your piece of shit stock rims....because you are a cash money millionare. You belong in an e36 m3 with your level of coolness.

Have fun with your super awesome b5 a4 2.8! you must be feeling super duper special because you have the ulttraa luxury model and bigger engine and everything. cool dude.

So when you are in your 9 year old audi, do your farts smell like cinnamon buns?

I didn't know the rich folks all live in Harrisburg, PA. get a grip on reality man.

Dude, what is up your ass about this?

I hope to God you are rocking OEM RS4 Ecodes with the amount of shit you are talking. That is what I had on my B5. Want to buy them? Assuming you can afford the good stuff.

Get off your high horse and realize you own an ancient entry level luxury car. I'm sure if we all were rocking B7's the choices would be a little more high end.

not quite...i'm jewish.. i know a good deal when i see one. if you think these cars are nice it honestly just means you haven't seen the worst of it yet. I've been around long enough to feel the pain of the b5 tearing through your wallet. lol.

everytime i save up enough money to buy a decent mod something else breaks. maybe you have it easier though, but 1.8t is a headache at times.

vvme.com is a trusted site.Their prices are cheaper because they are directly shipped from the factory.
