    Question "downgrading" wheels - pic request for 18" BBS LM's, 18" OZ UL's and 18" BBS CH's

in an effort to increase ride comfort and reduce weight, and in preparation for this snowboarding season, i'm "downgrading" to a sweet 18" setup

does anyone have pictures of 18" silver BBS LM's or 18" silver BBS CH's or 18"O.Z. Ultraleggeras (silver)

i've seen some 18" CH's on B6's.. haven't been able to find any pictures of 18" LM's.. only thing I can find are pictures of 19" LM's and 19" LM reps

Funny, I'm thinking of doing the same thing next year, 19" VMR reps - 18" LMs. As you stated, most of the pics I've seen have been for 19 LMs as well.

the 19's look hot, for sure, but i'm a little worried since they have a lip, the 18's will look too small... i plan on running them on 225/40/18 vs. 235/40/19.. maybe that'll help a little.

Most 18's do look small. I think the A4's have big tire archs so they can fit a big wheel in them. Ride quality isn't horribly bad on the 19's, so I won't be doing any size change anytime soon. But the LMs are my prime choice to upgrade to either way. I figure if I'm going to change out, I might as well go 18's and see if the ride improves at all.

Is this strictly winter only? And do you still have the rs4 reps for the summer?

IMO I think 18's are a perfect balance of look, comfort, and performance... as 19's tend to get heavier

i'll be getting rid of the reps as soon as i see some pics of 18's and make my decision.

i may pickup some forged/light weight 19's next summer.. we'll see.

haha, why do you ask, you got some rims for me?

Haha I know you want all seasons or winters for the DPEs I'm selling lol. So you want the CH's in the classifieds, will buy new tires and will then list your reps in the classifieds. Man I'm good....

haha nate, you're on top of EVERYTHING..

alternatively, there's a vendor selling CH's for a good price as well.. and the OZ's would be from TireRack (18lb!!)

Hehe I know , I think the CH's would look great on your car. The OZ's are light yes but I've seen a few pairs bend which would obviously suck. Good luck

Is your ride really that rough and heavy with the setup you have now? im still trying to figure out why youre selling a nice setup.

19x8.5" cast wheels with 235/35/19 tires

    vs.

18x8.5 bbs ch/18x8.5 forged bbs lm/18x8 oz ultraleggera with 225/40/18 tires?

    big difference

the tires alone will account for 3-4lb of unsprung weight per corner

The above OZ look like 17" wheels. Here is a pic of mine with 18" OZ UL

Would love to see some BBS CH (not S4 BBS CO's) in 18x8.5. Don't think I ever seen a pic of them on a B7.

If you really want to see one go to the classifieds where there are a bunch of people selling them that have pics up.
