    MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I have a very good lead on a brand new very cheap MagnaFlow cat back exhaust. The only problem is that I have never heard ANYONE talk about it on here for a B7 A4. Has anyone heard this exhaust? Or tried to install one and know the diffuculty? Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

    How cheap?
You can get it from hottexhaust.com for $705 with two coupons.
And if it's anything like the ones on the B6 it will sound amazing.

    Re: MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust

I can get it for 600...One of my buddies friends owns an exhaust shop and I guess one of the customers bought the exhaust but the wrong one or something??? So they opened the box and said this is the wrong one. Put it back in the box and is sitting at his shop. So I can get it for 600. But I have never heard anyone talk about it or have any experiences with it on AZ...

You'll find out once you install that exhaust. Go with a company that has a great reputation in the euro tuning market. Such as APR, AWE, STaSIS, Milltek, Neuspeed, etc...But don't do magnaflow. After all, they do exhausts for aholes who drive V8 Mustangs and think they are cool.

    Re: MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust

my buddy has the magnaflow and its pretty loud. Idk what your going for but if you want to be heard that's definitely the way to go. I don't think it sounds bad but I would never put it on my car just because I think I would get annoyed with how loud it is after awhile.

I haven't had much experience with the other brands but i'm pretty happy with my Magnaflow setup. It gets loud/DEEP/raspy. It's not everyones flavor because AWE, StaSiS, etc. are just trendy. I tried something new and was satisfied. I made a few vids a while back if you're interested.

edit, i have to agree though... there is some drone, i don't mind but my girlfriend hates it.

very little drone with my stasis. However any aftermarket exhaust will have some drone. It's just to what degree.

I got a custom Magnaflow setup, overall Im using 2 magnaflow mufflers...I like the tone, i think its perfect with the testpipe :P but Im 3inch out of the turbo (no cat), y pipe to 2.25 dual piping to magnaflow mufflers and 4 inch tips (no resonators), sounds awesome..

    Re: MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust

It's probably the same one I was going to pick up a few weeks ago haha. You spot it on Ebay by chance? Anyway, I came up short on money due to buying a house and I couldn't do it afterall. After hours of research, because there's no info out there, I concluded that, of course, it does not include a downpipe like most of the others do, but it might not be able to add a downpipe later down the road. For the price I was getting, I could have bought a Labree DP for 250 and still been well under the price of any cat back out there, but bad timing and lack of info got the best of me.

Yeop, You woundnt have commented in person trust me, It looks very nice, 4inch does sound very big. But most use 3.5 inch.

The sound is awesome on highway and unless you want to get on it or high rpms, the ride stays very soothing, I frankly love hearing my turbo spool, and the car sounds mean but classy

i know its a different beast, but i drove an STI for sale with a magnaflow exhaust and the sound coming from it was horrible. i think magnaflow makes good v8 systems but thats where it ends.

I could never compare the sound from a wrx or sti to an audi or vw...their turbos sound so different and ussually there canned mufflers i would say unlike the muffler you see on our cars...just my opinion, i think the muflers magnaflow make are quality, used them for yrs...and no problems, thas all, the piping otheriwse i did myself

    magnaflow's FINE.
Doesn't get too much drones in the cabin to be honest.
BUT, the brand's not so reputable thus far~
they started from the ground up with american mucles~
but i think they do have nice products for a4's.

    Re: MagnaFlow Cat Back Exhaust

I just installed my 16600 Magnaflow Cat-back on my B6. It is super quiet. Low sound, but sporty. The tips look incredible. I drove it on the Highway for 120 miles the day I got it and there was no drone what-so-ever. Don't listen to any of the peeps on here unless they have tried the actual product at hand. I am a completely staisfied customer!
