For those who cant find s4 seats...give this a try

finally got around to trying something that ive been thinking about for a while...i hate the lumbar support in my seat and wanted to remove it to see if i could sit back more in my seat... well i decided to give it a try...it was pretty easy depending on how far you want to take it..heres a pic ...not mine but one i found..basically you remove the black piece...

i took it a little further by disconnecting the top supports and moving them back...and while not s4 seat...you definitely get improved bolstering by sitting a little further back in the seat..and best of all its free

Re: New seat mod for anyone interested

I love my lumbar support. I have it all the way down and sticking out as far as it will go - keeps my lower back from bulging out.

Man, I thought you were gonna show some awesome S4 alternative seats. Does anybody know of decent pair of racing seats for $700 bucks?

Yeah, I thought about finding a pair of used Porsche seats, but most of the seats I've seen in the price range I mention look kinda questionable. I'm looking to keep the leather look too.

do you have to cut or break any thing preminatly, cuz if not i got free day tomorrow, if i dont like it i can but it back, right?

I would love to get some s4 seats but there a lot if ya can find em, i personally think that these stock seats have no side support, my 97 jetta trek, and by buddies b5 a4 felt more supportive than mine in the corners

Great idea, but if you want S4 seats I'd keep looking. Good option for the meantime though. Honestly, I'd put your comparison to getting S4 Recaros as Stage III from stock. They're my second fav mod, and almost enjoy them as much as the supercharger.

BTW, there is a guy selling a 4.2 A6 in the classifieds in Chicago area that would probably sell his B7 S4 seats separately. Anyway gotta respect the originality.

They can have them in leather and even make the backs leather.

But ya those seats are more for Evo's, STI's, s2k's or MK4 or 5 GTI's.

Eurojet sells the same ones with EuroJet logos in leather.
