Re: Canadian Pricing For The 2009 S4?

the only rumor is that it will be similar to current S4 pricing. since it's not due out in the states til late next year it could be a few months before official word comes out. but i'm waiting anxiously.

since they redid the packages for the A4 (premium, prestige, etc.) i wonder if the S4 will basically be the prestige A4 plus S4 goodies. that would be ideal.

my salesperson's best guess was, something like 45-48k base, +2500 or so for the s-tronic tranny, +3000 for drive select. total around 50-55k.

more realistically i think they'll start with premium plus and you'll have to add another option package and drive the price up closer to 55-60k.

More and more the BMWs seem like a cheaper alternative. The four door M3 starts at 55K.
    Fully optioned - 66K.
I am curious what Audi is going to bring the S4 at in the US.

Do you think MMI navi will come standard? The controls squeezed up into the console ruins the look of the interior.

I would think so, especially here in Canada if the price they say is $70,000 - $75,000.
    ouch!!!

If the $$ you are talking are Canadian I am not so demoralized, $70,000 - $75,000
    is what all are saying.
    I am talking Canadian prices.
Been rejected in the U.S for new and not interested in all the mod kits required, bumper, daytime running lights etc....
    all bullshit.

Re: Canadian Pricing For The 2009 S4?

Since the change in regulation, Canadian and US bumper standard has been unified. So there's a high chance that you wont require bumper modification. But regardless, S4 and S5 prices really shouldnt differ THAT much. And from what I know pricing for Canadian cars, are released officially ONE month before the arrival of the cars.
    Cheers!

Nice work, I see you've done your homework.
Do know roughly when they are looking to have these cars brought to the dealers for sale, I was under the impression around now.
    I was told fall 2008.

Don't forget about the Active Sport Differential. That will be an option as well.

I have no idea on the price of it but, I'd guess that it will run $500-1000.

we're def. ignoring the fact that they asked about CANADIAN pricing... There are $70k TTs on showroom floors and the RS$ starts around $105k. Serious.

Re: Canadian Pricing For The 2009 S4?

    I couldn't agree more.

I can get a loaded 335i for $65K, a well equipped M3 for $75K, a loaded C63 for $71K; if Audi has admitted that the new S4 is really a 335i competitor, they need to price it accordingly.

It's too bad, because I really like the styling of the new S4, and like the performance/fuel economy balance, but it'll be VERY difficult for me to justify over its competitors if it comes in at or near the old price (around $73K).

Both the M3 and C63 are performance beasts and will eat an S4. I believe that the S4 is a better looking car (personal opinion), but car for car, both the M and C are better value at that price point...

Let's keep praying they price it competitively...

id be curious to see what a lot of canadians will buy. Ive came across 3 guys that are going from s4 to c63. I might go IS-F,c63 these are bargains. S5 is nice but slower than the competition. I just cant see how much theyll ask for the TT-S plus our 13% taxes. Worst comes to worst as much as I dislike used cars we all know that the s4 resale is horrible like any audi's out there an a year after release they will sell for 50-55 cdn with a CPO warranty it will be a great purchase.

Re: Canadian Pricing For The 2009 S4?

I think you and I are in a very similar position.

I have an E46 M3 right now, but with a young child and plans for another, 4 doors is going to be a requirement when I replace my current car.

On my list will be the same list of cars except the S5 (beautiful, but it's a coupe). If I liked the look of the current 3 series sedans a little more, it'd be a no brainer, but I do like the look of other cars better.

I bought my M3 as a CPO car, and agree that CPO's can provide great value. I'd prefer to buy an FI car new so I can break it in, but with the CPO warranty, it gives you lots of time to deal with any problems.

Then again, if I'm going to consider the M3 new, I might just consider a CPO M5 or E63. I haven't driven an M5, but I got the chance to drive in an E63 the other day. I'm not sure I've ever felt torque like that. More room for the kids... REALLY bad on gas.
