I just received word that my Clutch is on its way out and I was wondering if someone can explain the difference from a performance clutch vs. an oem replacement. Actually the question is, will i notice a difference. I would like to upgrade my 3.0 to a performance stage 1 (SPEC, $600 or SOUTHBEND, $500), but the price difference is like $200 from OEM Replacement and I dont see much of a difference in materials. Based on the brands I looked at, the only difference is price. I was looking into getting an OEM replacement SACHS or LUK. The SACHS is made for the 1.8T, and 3.0 (228mm -w/ Updated Design Rigid Disc [is this better than the sprung hub disc?]) or the LUK is only made for the 3.0 (240mm sprung hub). First, what is the difference between the 2 mms? Will this make a difference? In way of performance, I was looking into getting either a Southbend stage 1 or a SPEC stage 1. Should I get a performance clutch for spirited and sport driving if I dont have much done to my N/A 3.0 (230 hp - Roughly)??? Please help soon because I am about to buy a LUK sometime tomorrow. Advise me which whould be my best bet here... Thanks
