First round of mods!

I'm a little over 1/2 done the first round of mods to the car. :)

Koni FSD's, H&R's, new brake disks & pads, Febi full control arm kit, and Hotchkis sways.

The pics don't show much, and the lighting at night was horrible, but here they are anyway. Just to show I did something. :)

I'm actually going to be working with TCE locally get get a Wilwood kit set up eventually. Probably about 1/2 the price of the Brembo kit.

I got pretty much everything from Pure Motorsports. Caught the last day of their summer sale.

The reason I asked is I got mine from tirerack last month and I don't have any stickers on the end of the bars. Mine only have stickers in the middle. I was wondering if Hotchkis have made newer bars now.

All in all, you did just about all the suspension work you'll need in one shot. Nice work.

How did you like the pinch bolt for the upper control arms?

I'll be honest, mine wasn't bad at all. None of the bolts were (once I figured out the tricks) except for one lower control arm bolt on the passenger side that I had to remove with my angle grinder.

I got a steal on the engine. 80k (60k less than the one in my car) for $1500, and it included a full Samco hose kit, piggie pipes, and a REVO Stage 2 ecu (for an S4).

I'm doing a lot of research right now. May get RS4's, may get RS6's, may get GT's.
I'm doing all the work myself except the actual engine swap. No room in my driveway for that.

Have you talked to Todd already? I was thinking of calling him up to toss around some ideas for my A6. I have a version of his kit on my SHO. He's a great guy to deal with - very patient with my thousands of asinine questions. :)

I had emailed him about it. They don't make an off-the-shelf kit for it, but he said he could make one starting at about $1300-1400, obviously more depending on options.

I would be if we had 5 or so people, we could get a better price.

The exterior is really pretty nice still. I need to get a good cut and buff done to it to get some scratches out of the clear coat in numerous places, but I'll get to that.

DEFINATELY need motor mounts. Every time I step on the gas pedal, my shifter moves.
