what did the k04-015 come off of?

Isn't the exhaust housing the same as the K03?

the only different part is the compressor turbine.

if the exhaust housing is different it's not a 015.

I'm not sure if they are the same or not. That is what I'm trying to figure out. I've had people say they are different but, I thought just the exhaust wheel was bigger. Yet still fitted into a k03 exhaust housing and the only thing different was the k04s compressor wheel and housing was larger. If you could get me some great info Mike it would be appreciated. It's been awhile since I messed with these.

K04-15 was used on the european 190hp A4. Im pretty sure the exhaust housing is exactly the same, the only differences are the compressor and turbine wheel if im not mistaken. In fact the K04 that eurospec sells are brand new K03 units tha have been fitted with K04 wheels.

Pretty sure they are the same. Only way to know is to find someone that has both so they can compare them directly.

Nope they were not they were just K03s same as you guys.

In the later K03s models we all ways got 10bhp more than you guys take my old B5 quattro (may she RIP) she came with 180bhp standard and you guys only got 170bhp, same works with the B6 but here we got two three version of power out put 150, 170 190bhp B6 models.

The K04-15 was a after market turbo that one of the tuning shops requested so I have been told and at the time was a great upgrade and could be bolted on without any issues.

plus you will not find any Audi part No for this Turbo.

i guess you could be right, but the k04s on the s4 are for the rs4, k04 is on the audi tt, there must be some k04-015 from some car in europe

The TT and RS4 use two different turbos from each other and no K04-15 was ever fitted to any European car plus the K04-15 first appeared in the US not Europe.

No know you want some car to have this turbo fitted from stock but you just won’t find one.

Another way to look at this, if they fitted the K04 to the A4 it would have had nearly as much power as the S4 which was way to close in power so it never happened. One could guess and say the k04 was developed for the A4 but Audi decided not to go with it and so it became an after market turbo but that would be a guess.
