CVT problem was well known in B6 from 2001-2004, some mechanics said those from 2005 or even the B7 cvt are using different hydraulic pump design which eliminate the fault where B6 use to have.

I just wondering how many 2005 CVT owner in this forum having problem .

I don't have CVT, but I haven't heard about any problems with them from members here since I've been very active on here for a year now

I have an 06 CVT, and from personal experience I can tell you, this tranny can take a beating.

Sounds like Audi really made improvement from B7 generation (7speed CVT).
Am I too early for this conclusion?

By the way how often do you guys change the CVT fluid?

Well it isn't really 7 speed, actually it has unlimited shift points since it's variable. When it's in sports mode, it simulates a 7 speed gearbox.

Btw HID, wow dude how much are you putting to the crank? I heard the CVT handles maximum 300 hp/300 tq you seem to have exceeded it.

when I say 7 speed , it only make it easier to distinguish its generation with its preset configuration, since its from 2005.5(B7). By knowing its stock preset , you can tell its year and model.... there is no stock 7speed setting B6 right?
