Please help me, frustrated...

So I received my VEI Boost Gauge a couple days ago and it's been an ongoing project to install. I HAVE installed boost gauges before and I think it might just be a defect in the gauge itself. Anyone that has installed this in their B5 S4 please chime in..

So there are 3 wires, 1 Black, 1 Red, and 1 Green.

I grounded the black, ran the red underneath the dashboard and tapped into this:


Than I put the green on a light switch, so it can dim and brighten depending on time of day.

When its all said and done, the gauge lights up but an error comes up..What am I doing wrong?

Please chime in on EXACTLY where you tapped in your VEI boost gauges please!!

(I have searched for the past 3 days, so please dont tell me to search.)

i didnt connect the green wire but i put the red one where you did and it works fine but sometimes the gauge turns on but it wont read boost its just blank but the bottom two lights come on then i just drive for a little bit turn the car off then on and it works

What error are you getting?. I taped my main power to the 75x and my switch source to the 12v source from my vent lighting

yea, thats the problem..those two bottom lights turn on...

Also, it just flickers instead of being a clear display.

the error im getting, u can see in the video..the display goes away and then it just displays those two little lights at the bottom.

I went and connected the red only with no green and its just a very blurry display. You cannot read the boost. I'm thinking it might just be a defected display.
