tt 2000 dials flickering when stationary then when moving they stop even at night if the lights are switched on then all the interior controls that light up flicker at standstill then stop as soon as the car is moving again

i had a prob with my dials before. But mine wasnt flickering, the speedometer just stopped working (but the rest of the dials still worked). Did some research on the UK forums and apparently the cluster is usually one of the first things to go. Most of them just replace the cluster. it's an expensive remedy, i know. but my case wasnt something you could fix on your own unless you yourself were an electrician and you understood where to solder what.

AudiWorld is your friend. This Forum is generally more social then technical.

You have a dying cluster most likely. Audi has lost a class action suit, but that doesn't mean they'll replace yours. Only fix is to go see a dealer or a GOOD indie, and have the ckuster checked for symptoms.

Generally, flickering needles and way-off-scale readings are cluster failre. In some rare cases, if only the temperature needle is jumping, then you might need only a temperature sender.

They tried going PHP during the usmmer, but had data transfer problems. Not sure when now.
