    Question peddle vibration/grind?

Hello everyone, I just got a nice B6 S4 tip. I have only had it for just under a week, but I had a question. Some times while driving, more so coasting. I can kind of feel a vibration in the gas peddle and and very slightly in the steering wheel. Its almost a combination of a grind and vibration. It sort of feels like the front brakes are just barely trying to grab. Any thought?

Other then that I love the car. Only other issue is that one with the radio volume going in and out, but I have the TSB here to take to my dealer for that one.

    Thanks in advance.

is it raining? the brake calipers do click onto the rotors occasionally in wet conditions to wipe the moisture to improve braking...

other than that, dono. you try an alignment? / balance?

No, not rain, but I have not tried the alignment/balance yet. I will have to check into that this weekend.

if its vibrating/grinding when hitting the brakes, your gonna need rotors and pads.
if its vibrating when you drive(not hitting brakes) your prolly gonna need a balance but also check the tires, front suspension or maybe the wheels are bent.
also check the wheel bearings in the front.

Thank you for the info. I thought of one other question. When you are going rather slow the steering wheel is very easy to turn, but at speeds it gets much harder to turn. Is that the speed sensitive steering?

Didn't someone like eddieman do a write up on how to disable it, or make a switch to turn on and off? I read it once, but didn't really want to start messing with everything he did, none the less very impressive and helpful. Just throwing that out there. Congrats on the car though, and post some pics!

This sounds very similar to another post that I had made with no luck. I bought my s4 almost 2 months ago and I still have this problem. It not frequent but tends to happen when I'm going slow as well, in reverse, and first gear. When easing off the clutch there is a grinding noise along with vibrations from the clutch and steering wheel. This is mostly with the steering wheel turned in either direction. There was also another guy on here with the same issue, I forget who though.

When I start my car moving from a dead stop with the wheel turned all the way to lock in either direction i get a fair amount of vibrations in the wheel. I've just considered it something natural, as it ONLY happens when the wheel is at lock...
