OK Since Iam bored at work I decided to start a write up on my build. Got this car over the summer drove it for 2 month and ripped the motor out. been collecting parts over the last month or so while the block was out at the machineshop.

    List of parts:
    Spa topmount turbo manifold
    Garrett gt3071R
    Tial 38mm wastegate
    Weisco 81.5 pistons
    Scat 144mm rods
    ARP Main studs
    Precision 600hp core
    630cc injectores
    Chris Tapp software

Complretly rebuilt the motor down to ever gasket and seal

going to get the turbo bolted up tonight change my slave cylander and try to get the motor in tonight.

    More to follow. . . .

I went to autozone and bought a universal power steering cooler (~$40) and just mounted it above the FMIC.....ur gonna have to remove the stock cooler, drain the fluid, and run two new lines to the new cooler. I don't have any pics right now, but its really easy to do.....I'm pretty sure most people on here with FMIC's have done the same

I do, but I rather buy a new one and know it will hold then JB Weld it, then spend the money to have it refilled with freon, just to ahve it have a leak down the line. its winter now so no need to rush and pay to much for a new one. im sure if i take my time ill find one someone is willing to sell for like 50$

gotcha. When mine leaked i quickly cleaned it down with acetone and mixed up some jb weld as a temp fix. It ended up holding up for a long time. It sounded like you just needed a quick fix to get you by.

ok got the IC pipes and DP all fabed up, going off to be welded tomorrow. also moved the Intercooler up higher so the pipes could clear the AC lines. Also got the Snub mount and Coil cover in the mail last week and got those on.

really didnt need the coil cover but the snub mount was only 20 with 10 shipping, had to find something else to buy to make the shipping worth it haha

ok got everything in and bolted up, starts up rather easy but has a miss fire on cylinder 3 and 4, both geting fuel and spark and the timeing is correct. dont think its any bent valves but going to run a compression test tomorrow, and use some new coils. but i did switch 1 & 2 coils with 3 & 4 and still missfire on 3 & 4. any other ideas on why the missfire?

well cylinder 1 - 3 had a compressioin of 200, 4 had 0! soo looks like a bend intake vavle not sure how it happened but looks like some headwork is needed.

dman, that sucks, doesnt it happen that you are all excited to start your car and just start driving it, but when you started it up you come across more issues? well, hiopefully everything will be fine with your car and only be a bent valve. post pics of the final product.

don't forget to check the slop in the guides and get that valve lapped to make sure its seated correctly or a valve job if you think the seat was damaged.
