    19's without lowering?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I'm sure it would look a bit funny, but am looking at picking up 19" rs4 reps/s-line a6 wheels with a 235/35 tire and just wondering how it would look without lowering. Currently i have the same wheel in 17's with 225/45 and the stock sport suspension on my s-line a6. not a huge wheel well gap, looks just about right, but could always be lower. Anyone have pics of a 6 with 19's on a stock sport suspension? I've seen some of 19's on regular suspension and that looks too jacked up but didnt knwo if the sport suspension would look better since it is lower. I know eventually i need to lower it but planning on saving up for coilovers but would rather pick up the wheels now since they are cheap. just dont want it looking like a grand cherokee a6. any pics could be appreciated.

Here is my S6 on sport suspension only, running 235/35/19's. I plan on putting C/O, but never get around to it, since it does not look that 4x4ish, and it is now my daily driver since the S4 went stage 3.

you should be able to pull it off on sport suspension id think. i had 18s on sport suspension and there was like maybe 2 finger gap, maybe even less. 18s and 19s will have the same rolling diameter so here are some old pics for your reference:

RAudiS6: if thats just sport suspension on 19's i can live with that. Just wondering if the wide body of your s6 makes a difference since mine is a 2.7t without those great fenders!

AudiRS: That i JUST sport suspension? There looks to be no wheel well gap at all! what size tires are those with the 18's?

    Thanks for the pics

Yes, I would like to know the answer to this also because I was thinking of doing the same thing until I was able to pick up some coilovers.

100% stock sport suspension. tire specs were 245/40/18s. my 17" s4 winter wheels had the same gap on 225/45/17.

i do have a pretty crazy stereo setup in the trunk that would weigh the back down a bit, but the fronts wouldnt be affected

    Re: 19's without lowering?

Mine is 100% complete stock (and the truck is empty, LOL!!!) I am not sure with the 4.2 motor being heavier if that makes a difference, but I was very surprised when I put them on, since I had a huge gap on my S4 with 19's on stock. There is a guy that goes to some of the local meets here, and he has a C5 A6 on 19's stock, and it does not look that bad either.

AUDIRS - man that sits low for being stock, looks good.

    Re: 19's without lowering?

get a 40 or 45 tire. i had the 19"s with 215/35. if you go that route swerve them potholes and lower it. there is quite a gap.

    Re: 19's without lowering?

I wouldn't do it. Most stock A6 with 19's look odd.
I would lower first to improve looks even with stock rims and also improve handling. Get wheels later.

    Re: 19's without lowering?

Well i went ahead and got the wheels since it was such a good deal. I dont think it looks too bad on stock sport suspension, im really happy with it. I can just barely fit 2 fingers in the wheel well gap in the front and have just a bit of room with 2 fingers in the back wheel well gap. Eventually i will get coilovers, but since it doesnt look too bad now, ill spend the money on a chip and maybe sway bars for now until i can save up for teh coilovers.
