tire size for 18x8 et 45

I bought new silver OZ Ultralegera 18x8 et 45 for my b7 .
What tire size would you recommend?
I'm considering of 255/35/18 for rear and 245/40/18 for front.
Any suggestions?

I have the ultraleggera's as well but they are 19x8. I'm rocking 245/35/19 BF Goodrich T/A kdw's and couldn't be more happy. If you look at them from the front or rear, the sidewalls and tires are pretty much lined up perfectly. No stretching or whatever the opposite of stretching would be?

Why I shouldn't? any pros cons? In one forum I found that it is best set up to have a little wider tyre for rear.

Now I have 18x8.5 ET50 ABT wheels, with 235/40/18 and I have some problems with outsides of tyres(it wears much faster then other part of tyre, maybe it is because of suspension(I have stock))

on an 8" wheel width, i second 235/40/18 all around. As far as i know, the only time you should use diff widths is if you are running a staggered setup ie 8.5" or 9.5" rear. But running a staggered setup on our quattros is a whole different can of worms.

and the rear is 40mm with 275x30x19 Falken tires.

I'm running 235s on 18"/8.5" and they match perfectly.
I read somewhere that too much rubber is bad for handling and if you check the wheel/tire guide in the b6 faq section, 235 is the perfect width for 7.5"-8.5" wheels
