I have Springfield Armory 1911 for my home defense gun of choice, and I LOVE it, but it doesn't lend itself to carrying/glovebox duty very well, so I'm picking up a Glock 26 this weekend.

Thank you Sir. Its a blast to shoot. Had it out a couple weeks ago, shot 100 or so rounds. Zero is at 300 yards with right about .5 MOA grouping. I was shooting out to 600 yards with some pretty good accuracy too. Silver scope rings have been replaced with black ones. I am probably going to switch optics on it soon also. Probably going to go with a Bushnell 3200 10x fixed magnification with a mil dot reticle. It should be pretty sweet.

I'll tell you though, this gun just makes me want something BIG and precise. My next purchase is most likely going to be an Armalite AR-30 in .300 Win Mag. That will be nice. 1000+ meter shots like nothing. If I can swing it, it will have the Barrett Rifles BORS system on it with the Leupold Mark IV 6.5-20x50mm scope. That complete setup (Rifle and Optics) will run me right around 4300 bucks though, so we'll see.

I went shooting with my friends a few weeks ago though. He's got a rifle (30-06) that we didn't get to shoot because he said he didn't have ammo and it wasn't dialed in or something. whatever. So instead we shot a 4-10 or something gauge shotgun and his 12 gauge. I'm pictured using both. We were shooting clay pigeons.. I got a double on my first time, I was stoked.

Its not "getting them into CA", its just knowing the laws and knowing what you can have. All of my guns are 100% CA legal and bought in CA. Check out www.calguns.net. A lot of good info there. A shop I highly recommend is www.tenpercentfirearms.com, the owner Wes is a good dude and will take care of all your "assault rifle" needs. On his site there is all the info you could possible need for AR-15 builds and rifles. He even has quite a few rifles ready to go if you would rather not build up a custom AR. I bought my Sig 556 from him as well as all the parts to fully build up my AR-15.

Also, dont shit when you see the prices of some of these guns. My Sig 556 was over 1700 bucks but let me tell you, it is 120% worth the money. Hardly any recoil, no muzzle rise, such an amazing rifle. If you ever hear or read something about someone talking shit on it, its cause they havent shot one. Seriously.

Another thing to mention, not all shops are "accepting" of OLL's. And when I say "not all shops", I mean most shops. You will probably have to drive a ways to get to a shop that sells these kinds of guns. There are more and more shops catching on though. Take a look over at calguns to find a good shop if ten percent is too far of a drive for you. Cold War Shooters in Highland is another great shop.

No hunting either, just sport shooting. The handguns are also for home protection and concealed carry. I have concealed firearms permits in CA, UT, and FL, which allow me to carry in 36 states.

Remington is mine and the Olympic arms .45 is my brothers but its pretty much mine now that he does not shoot it any more. Im buying my wilson .45 this Christmas, its going to be the gun i keep the rest of my life. I wont bother carrying another round than .45 unless i am required to. I know I am not representing Texas well in the gun category but I just wanted to post my guns and not the families. Its a shame to have a few Californians owing more guns then a Texan, in fact im pretty sure there is a state law here or something about it.

CA is a "may issue" state when it comes to concealed firearms permits. Permits are issued by the County in which you reside. I live in Kern County. Kern has more CCW permits issued than any other County in CA. Kern is very CCW friendly. A "good cause" is still required to be approved though. Check out this site for CCW permits issued by county. http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/forms/pdf/...uances2007.pdf. San Diego County will be much harder than it was for me in Kern. But if you have "good cause", it wont hurt to try. Also, check out www.calccw.com, and www.californiaccw.org for more info on concealed carry in CA.

There were nearly 1500 permits issued in SD County as of 2007. It isnt impossible, but yeah, definitely very difficult to obtain one. Glad I live in Kern. Haha.

This was my Christmas present last year. It's a factory refurb Sig P229 .40 cal. When they put it back together at the factory, they dipped into the stainless bin for parts.


Part of my job is to shoot/instruct the GAU-16 (M2?) .50 cal, M240 and M60. Yes, we still shoot the M60.

Next week, I get to do my initial qual on the Gau-21. .50 cal 1100 rpm, beetches.
I also got to take a few shots with a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle. The blast from the muzzle brake, coming back into the cabin is like a kick in the head. When that gun fires, the most comfortable place to be is on the trigger.

unfortunaly i haven't shot it yet (he offers all the time). but i have seen the ammo, HOLY SHIT!!, theres a reason it is illegal in war to use that against a person. I can here him shoot that thing from here though (35 acre parcels), he shoots at "empty" propane tanks and started a 5 acre fire once. Ive only shot his AK.
