tearing apart the B5 S4 sunday

had JHMotorsports do the aux water pump, SMIC and shifter and oil change for a wonderful college affordable price and now i have to change the head gaskets. stopped by JHMotorsports today and he had everything i needed to get the job done on sunday. cheaper than taking it to a shop. i got a guy that is certified to work on vipers coming over to see what he can do without pulling the engine. JHMotorsports always has the hook ups. on everything. i think everyone should help them get control of the west coast and support your local JHMotorsports, oh wait the only JHMotorsports.

have you ever broken a manifold/head stud because you were wrenching on the nut at the wrong angle?

I also pulled my heads without removing engine. I then replaced the manifold studs with bolts. much easier.

No. I tore the heads off last year to replace bent valves from broken timing belt due to an accident from previous owner (I bought car wrecked). I am in middle of stage 3 upgrade and the motor is actually back in car, just not hooked up yet.

http://www.audizine.com/forum/images...s/banghead.gif so my dad came over so we could start tearing apart the s4 today. we got the bumper off and called JHM a few times for some help over the phone and away we started tearing the motor out. 15 minutes later my dad yells... fuk this $h!t, call Jason and see how much he will charge us to do the whole thing. now i have to wait until after the 22nd to take the car to JHM and have him do it. atleast he has a college discount for me. http://www.audizine.com/forum/images...es/thumbup.gif to JHM

no, you have no idea. it is costing me so much money. my girlfriend is hating the car and wanting me to get ride of it because it has and is going to cost about 3500 to get it to run, right; that is without timing belt, turbos, water pump.
