doesn't the amp require ventilation??? doesn't it have cooling fans and such... if so.. you might wanna be careful from it overheating and/or causing some kind of electrical failure or fire.

i've been running the amp there for 6 months with no problems, the gain is set pretty low for my taste. Also these amps run cool and it is placed almost level. They were actually designed to be stacked on top of one another.

Yes. It wasn't difficult to do, but it was very time consuming and very messy. I followed a4mods.com for the most part.

naw, not ratting from the cover:) I originally carved one out of foam, but the box ended up to big because of the sub choice. I figured if it rattled i would add some dynamat on the guards, but it doesn't. However the carpet pulses in between.

do you have any more pictures of the process from stick frame to solid box? Im guessing fiberglass?

No that's all I have from about 6 months ago. Just finished the cover...been lazy. Here is the writeup that I followed except i had to build the hole frame because I wanted to be able to take it out. All fiberglass with no filler(box is hidden) saves a lot of weight.

Stable for the average driver.... yes, for an Audi enthusiast....no. Its pretty snug. I have only 1 metal strap for the box because it sits on the floor of the cubby. Then I only have 1 strap for the amp because the way its wedge and everything is solid. The mounting all depends on what amps you have and the shape of your box.

I also removed the factory sub to let the sound come in from the trunk. What a pita to do unless you are ok with hacking everything up. I might close it up though when i get an exhaust.
