this is a follow up from my unfolding side mirrors, that wouldnt fold out...not even manually...so i go there today and they fixed it...thing is, the mirror only will fold out on the driver side and stay, while the passenger side mirror will not stay out for good and it can be moved around manually...i have no problems driving with it, because the mirror will not move when driving...i payed 60 dollars for it to get looked at and fixed...the audi service tech told me that if i wanted to get the mirror fixed, they would have to take the door panels off, to see what was wrong with it because it uses the window motor or something like that...he said it would take a couple hundred dollars for that, then at least 400 dollars to get a new motor...i said im not gonna do it, because i quite frankly dont want to pay a minimum of 600 dollars, just to have a folding out mirror...i would rather super glue it in to place (haha

)...but i am also skeptical about this, because the actual mirror still moves on the passenger side, it just doesnt fold open or close...any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks guys..

just remove the ones from the car and get one of these:

I hate the stealership it might take half hour to take a panel off and put it back on properly, removing the components is another thing but that price quote is insane. Not only that I'm sure this isnt the first time they have seen these mirrors not fold so more than likely they know exactly what's wrong and like always are just trying to rip you off

thats exactly what i was thinking...like is there no other way to know what could possible be wrong with the mirror...then i said, well let me just put a manual mirror on...they said they would still have to go see whats wrong...now, why the f*ck would they need to know whats wrong with the automatic mirror, to install a manual one that doesnt require any motor? haha, i just dont get it...
