Well got back from work and went to where I parked the car and it was gone.

In the UK we have Audi's immobilizer which makes the car undriveable (it just won’t start). They did not break in as no glass was on the floor so it had to been lifted.

Who did you have install the imobilizer? In my area its common to hear about busts in an audio shop because an employee stole a car they installed the alarm on.

If it was at a shop I would talk to the shop owner and inform him privately that your car was stolen, give him pics and ask him to listen to his employee's if they hear anything.

Obviously inform the police, Ask around in the places that could have seen the robbery, Ask for surveillance video's, ect.

He owns a right hand drive UK car, the european cars came with the immobilizer stock.

Well I checked to see if it was towed first of all but no joy.

The immobiliser is a standard fit Audi unit which have to be fitted by law here so no dodgy shop to go gate crash.

My car had to be lifted from its parking spot has there was no glass on the floor.

The thing is, mine is the only Silver RS4 Sedan in the UK (last time I checked) and to be honest I can not think what they would use without me or other forum members spotting it.

Wheel are custom painted black, Lights are black tinted trim would stick out like a saw thumb and the FMIC is not sold here (RaceTec) so they could not hide that and the body work well I don’t need to cover that because it speaks for its self.

To add to my pain I just had all the issues with the engine sorted and slapped on my hybrid turbo.

Not 100% true unless you disabled the driver key lock from unlocking the rest of the doors and turning off the OEM alarm. Because the car can be unlocked and alarm turned off just with a screw driver. After that they just pop the ignition lock and switch ECU's. This is how all of the B5's in NJ are stolen.

nobody at your work happened to see a tow truck around your job, or suspicious looking people? Someone would have had to plan it out to steal your car to lift it away while your at work. Makes me want to invest in an alarm more and more as i see audis getting stolen. Something heavy duty to do the trick, my friend has an alarm that goes off if it senses more that 3* of tilt from when it was armed

Well, odds are the car is being dismantled or already done. Considering the rarity of the vehicle, I doubt the thieves would drive around in it.

I will be happy just getting the shell back that way I can rebuild her has the biggest cost is the body work and the Quattro system on the 1.8T is rare so if one turns up on eBay I will bet it came from my car.

This is totally ridiculous. Doc, your B5 is definitely one of my favorites. The way I see it, even if they chop some parts off of it, repaint it, whatever, it will still be a widebody sedan and you cant miss that.

Whats insurance like over there? Are the authorities doing anything to help you? It just sucks knowing that youll only get a little bit of money since its registered as a 1.8t a4, not an rs4. Just watch ebay, local classifieds, ect. Theives really are the scum of the earth.

On a positive note, its very very very rare to see those parts, so its either going to another audi or if they sell...I am sure they will get caught. It had to be towed, just surprised no one saw anything, but that is very typical!!

I am sure they have been spotting your car, havent noticed anything unusual?
