    BT 2.0TFSI Build-up Project

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I’ve Decided to start logging my progress of my BT Build basically for myself and everyone to finally see what type of power the FSI motor is capable of and everything will be posted in here. Take it from me I’m not too mechanically knowledged so I’m not too big on questions but if you have any feel free to ask and I’ll try and answer you as best as possible. Ok so It all started with us building the block, my buddy clint has been pushing me to get rods for the longest time and I finally gave in seeing that there were a couple BT’s floating around but none really close to the power that we wanted. We kinda had a rough idea of what I needed to get started so we figured we’d start it off by building the block….rods, cams, and new fuel pump?

After talking to issam who is pretty fricken awesome plus he’s an islander like myself lol had to throw that in. I placed my order and purchased (10/6/08)

    SCAT rods
    ARP main studs
    Anti friction rods
    Anti friction main

Aftermarket cams are coming later on this year, but as of right now they are not available.

Picking up the JE Forged Pistons with coated skirts, APR fuel Pump, AWE DV, Clutchmasters stg. 6 twin clutch(if they make it for the b7??) next

    ...... gt3076r

    stay tuned.

i believe theres nothing out to buy right now for the a4, something is in the works soon, but i'm going with a custom mani. once the block is built we'll have time to plan out the next step which will be mani, turbo, custom exhaust things along those lines , and of course the tune is the last step with the injectors =)

    Re: BT 2.0TFSI Build-up Project

I didn't realize you started this thread. I post this in your other thread: The ASP Garrett 30 series turbo package is just about complete. They are finalizing things this week. Might want to give them a call if you are interested.

The twin disc clutch is available here. Talk to Greg (400hpa4) to see if it will fit the B7 application.

BobQ of QED-Power is working on some Cat Cams for this application. As of July/Aug they were not available. Best to shoot him an email and inquire.

Glad to see some FSIs stepping it up.

got the info from your other thread, spoke to Bob yesterday.

As for the ASP kit, i really love their stuff, but nobody has built this block yet so why not get my hands dirty, plus my buddy has been pushing me to do this since early summer lol. But that kit puts out really good numbers, we still have to see the dyno but they're saying 350wp which is amazing but i'm going for a little more power, hopefully i can achieve something close to their numbers if not better, which is definately doable. Only thing to do now is get it done

    Pm'd ya btw

ASP is using a stock (internals) motor so the tune will be conservative and good for the general public who doesn't want to build a forged internal engine.

With a forged bottom end and a few other goodies you can adjust the tune to get more power out of it. That is the beauty of a custom ME7 tune. We are doing exactly that with my car. I'm not going to throw out numbers until we have them but it'll be pretty big.

Good deal about Bob. You are in good hands. He built my motor and has provided parts and machine work for various other B6s and B5s here on AZ.

built bottom end is in with head and everything attached, transmission is on, everything is good to go, expecting to see her crank this afternoon, as for now, we still have the stock turbo, as we are waiting for our gt3076... but it will here very very soon, then just throw it on, tune, and hope for the best... but we will definantly keep you posted if we get any kind of numbers...
