    Re: Help with exhaust tips!!

customize it. go to a local exhaust shop and they'll just saw off your stock ones and weld on aftermarket ones.

imho, its not worth it. might as well save that money towards the awe exhaust.

Yeah thats the only way. There is no way to take off the stock tips - you can only cut them off.

it wont give you any performance but it will give the car some good looks. i bought vibrant 3.5 inch tips about 8 months ago. havent gotten a chance to weld them on yet, but definitely reccomend them. they look great

    Re: Help with exhaust tips!!

i originally bought the dual tips...the exact ones that you posted and i had to give them back. my shop was about to do the work on my car, they colormacthed the s4 valence and everything and when they were about to do the exhaust tips, they saw that the dual tips didnt line up with the s4 valence correctly. they wouldve had to screw around with the muffler box's by forcing them inward. honestly, i didnt feel like fucking up my muffler box. so i just went with something alittle more simple like i said before.

    Re: Help with exhaust tips!!

well the rounded contour of our rear bumpers will make the outer tip stick out. This isn't such a good look. The stock s4 has tips that are contoured to match the shape of the bumper. I dont know if there is an adequate tip option to resolve this issue.

    DIY for tips:
    1. Cut off stock tips using sawzall or hacksaw
    2. Sand down tailpipe using powersander or sandpaper
    3. Fit new tips and ensure proper look
    4. Attach tips with welder or coldweld
    5. Enjoy new look and maintain with metal / chrome polish
