A4 springs on s4??

has anyone here put lowering springs from a b5 a4 on a b5 s4?? I am wondering because I have an a4 that came lowered when i bought it, and dont feel like buying new lowering springs for my s4....

yes.. you bought a 12k car. which still a 40k car for maintenance and modding purposes. .. .. i would think the spring rate on the a4 springs is not the same as the spring rate for the s4

It would probably make the car lower (the s4) than it did on the A4.

If its quattro you can. I swapped my coilovers from my a4 to the s4. hope that helps

What kind of coilovers and what are the rates? Most of the major coilover players have different kits between A4/S4.

The S4 is heavier up front due to larger engine and added accessories and have a stronger spring. More than likely you will have to get new springs. What brand are they though. Some designed the springs for the S4 and use them on the A4 though.

2.8 A4 springs will fit an S4 just fine. 1.8t springs wouldn't look so good and they might brake do to heavier engine.

I don't think anyone doubts that they will fit just fine...but there's a reason that suspension manufacturers design springs with different rates for specific cars.
