i know i know... i dunno man, it's kind of a serious feeler more than a gotta sell now. i'm in no rush, but with a 2nd kid on the way i need something a little bigger and more practical.

Also i've reached my goal with the car - done everything i wanted to do and have been enjoying it a while now. also, i'm itching for a new project and have been scouring craigslist for an older 20V project car.

that price is pretty close

control arms/tie rods are still holding up well

needs an cv boot & radiator right now (small leak) ... but I plan to fix it to 100% before making any moves (even going to recondition & paint the front bumper!)

dude tell me about.. I'm sure with 100 octane and the right lemmitweaks on the ECU that it would be in the 11's. there were no boost leaks when you drove it - the issue was the ECU was programmed for 93 octane and ran rich even with fuel pulled, and the timing was all screwy on top. Now the ECU is tuned for 91 and ALL the characteristics are PERFECT.

I have a Passport GT2 performance meter and i programmed all the data - weight, pitch, etc perfect and did a 3.8 second 0-60 and 12.3 quarter mile -- so i know 11's are possible. The real truth is that ANYTHING i've encountered on the street (z06's, 427R's, newer M5, etc) has been annihilated. You would have put 8-10 car lengths easy on that Cobra if it had this tune when you drove it!!

Dude my pants got tighter when i was reading this.....wish i had the S4 the other day on 605N..Magnum 6.0 driver/big azz chrome wheels.. cutting in/out traffic just to shake me when I would casually catch up from behind and pace him at 80mph!! When traffic cleared up I hand-motioned to go straight..no ghetto lane changing..well he took off far right.. exited on Imperial..stuck his arm out waved me over to exit with him then got the frozen finger for not following?? .WTF??..I hit the E'flashers to tell him wazzup..I..Need..Stage 3................

haha.. yeah the best encounter I've had was this dude in a 350Z that was waay too confident in his car. it wasn't as fun as running into something faster/more competitive -- but the way he struck up the conversation, how the conversation went, and how the race went down was truly priceless:

I'm slowing down for a red light I see a 350Z fly up behind me and then switch lanes so he’s next to me. He gives it a little rev, and I roll down my windows and turn my head towards him. Before I can even make eye contact, I hear him yell:

350Z owner: “You don’t have a chance, bro!”

Me: “No? You don’t think so? (in a non-aggressive, almost in-awe of his car like wow, really!? It’s really fast huh? Kind of voice)

350Z owner: “No, not a chance”

Me: “So what do you have..like 500 horsepower?” (somewhat sarcastic now, a little pressing in my tone)

350Z owner: “uhhh. Not quite”

Me: “Oh… (disappointed)..but you do 0-60 in around 3.6 seconds, right?” (I state this as if it must be fact. As if surely, this must be the case. It’s almost as if I’m telling him that is what his car MUST do).

350z owner: “uhh… I don’t think so. Not with these worn street tires”

Me: “(even more disappointed) Do you have a turbo?” (I ask, almost begging for him to turn my cloudy day sunny)

350Z owner: “no, but it’s fully built”

Me: “Sweet..yeah, the exhaust sounds really loud, let’s see how bad you kick my ass – from a stop or a roll?” (i say all this super excited, like I’m about to witness the greatest 350Z in all of California live, right here, right now).

350Z owner: “It’s too powerful..it’s gotta be from a roll.. like 10mph.. on my go”

Me: “oh yeah, of course! if I can’t keep up it was nice talking to ya!”

So we roll out, slow, get to about 10-15mph..i’m watching him and he yells “Go!” and gets on it. I floor it. I immediately jump 3 car lengths on him. Right after I shift into second I hear a god-awful “crunchsmachcrunch” in the rear distance (he grinded his shift bad going into 2nd...he must have got real antsy when he saw all 4 of my tires lift off the road and my car fly past him like a bucking bronco). I cut it at 60mph (near top of 2nd gear) and was about 15 cars ahead..… poor kid didn’t have a clue what just happened to him.

I slow down and let him come up next to me and I yell, with a big shit-eating grin “I THINK I HAVE A CHANCE!!” -- He sped off weaving in and out of traffic trying to make himself feel better. It was a totally classic moment - moments like these that make me wonder if I can really sell her...haha.

LOL was it really a 'make a sandwich' long story? Realistically the Mustang wouldn't work. It's not a V8 and isn't practical for me to get rid of the S4...only way i'm getting rid of the S4 is for a nice, plush V8 A6.
