Roof rack pads

I was wondering if anyone knows how to take off those plastic stickers (I guess you could call them that) that go under the roof rack towers to prevent scratching.

If it was just the adhesive that would be fine but the pads have been there since I got the car (second owner) and have been running it that way since. Lately it has started to splint off here and there.
