I Would go with a Dension Ice Link. I dont know that you need a Vag you may just need the radio code from the dealer, if you call a dealer to ask for trouble shooting on something say your from a repair shop like a body shop or something. Alot of times they are more likely to help if you are in the industry and they dont think they can make any money on you

I have the in-dash changer and use this:

Love it. I have an XM receiver in the aux input, my ipod, and my in-dash changer still works.

the dension and dice are the same thing. i used to install those. they are very nice units, a little pricy to make an aux input, but the text from the ipod comes up on the screen which is a major plus over an aux input.

Isn't that only on certain models/years/configurations? Even in "Dice" mode, I don't get the ipod text.

yes, i believe it is. i forgot which ones did it, but when it was brand new a few years back, it only worked in some car brands/make/models which made it really tough to sell that feature if you didnt know if it worked on your specific car yet. and some people lost the ability to use the steeringwheel controls to control the ipod as well. sometimes a SWIX helped that.

I keep mine in iPod mode anyway - I just have it sitting on the ashtray cover and reach down to hit "next" when I want to change the song. I keep it on Shuffle 99% of the time.
