Sound cutting out on driver side speaker

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
What I've been noticing recently is that every time I turn the radio on, sound only seems to be coming out of the passenger side, or the driver side speaker crackles with sound.
The only workaround I have to this so far is to crank up the volume to 12-13, then the sound comes back.
What might the issue be? Speaker? Wiring harness? How do I fix this?

Bad or loose connection somewhere, if you can get the door panel off you may be able to clean the contact point on or at least see where your problem is coming from

How do I remove the door panel to clean the harnesses? DIY guide?

just pop off the trim piece on the door and unscrew the screws that were under that trim piece. there is also a screw or two down by the armrest where you can pull the door shut. try checking out the DIY area of the forum and search for a window regulator/motor DIY since it requires removal of the door panel.

i think that problem might be where the door opens cuz my car does the same thing and when the door is open and u kinda tug on the rubber housing for the speaker wires it goes in and out.

I also have the problem with my driver door speaker, but mine makes a whistle or whining noise that is consistant with the engine reving up or down. I have it disconnected for right now until I can find out how to fix it.
