ive heard a lot of people bashing zinc rotors saying they are crap, whats your input on them? This looks like a deal id defiantly jump on Im just wondering why some people bash it

as for the zinc...its a buncha BS, this talk...IMO
...its there for protection down the road...and its better then leaving the rotor fully exposed...and we do it...complimentary

sure its not a lifelong finish...but it aids in corrosion prevention. ive never had problem on all 3 of my euros and friends cars...
the face wears off instantly of course, but the hub, hat, vents, dimples, slots, all covered by zinc. (sames goes for our colored finishes...and explains how theyll look after the first bed as well. this being an aesthetic touch tho)

its what we do...weve had HUNDREDs of satisfied customers, and it is what it is...theres no negative effects tho, thats for sure

Are the drilled rotors chamfered?

yes, of course theyre OEM sized...you cant just throw on larger rotors. what carrier are you going to use?
as my thread states, these are 8P rotors....
i build to order, machine to your liking, zinc dip them, and ship...but these are an already built set on the shelf, ready to go in silver/dimpled/slotted at

My buddy got drilled / slotted larger rotors a couple months ago and his cars fine..

that's impossible man. how's the caliper being held the new distance from the hub? a larger rotor requires a larger carrier to hold the caliper and accomidate the new diameter. unless he increased his rotor 1-2mm that's impossible. this is disc brake basics.

i got a set from adam a while back. yes, they were slightly larger at first...and no, they did not fit at all b/c they hit the carrier easliy.

we got it all sorted out and new ones sent and replaced in no time. black zinc FTW!

well braking feels no different...this isnt a bbk swap, but with a good aftermarket pad and these, youll notice a nice new bite to your OEM calipers and a much more responsive braking system...
my units: 1. stay cool in hard driving 2. look good, and 3. cost next to nothing for an all inclusive set of audi rotors f&r out the door
