    What should I do more to break into 12 sec ??

    So finally I went to find out what my 1/4 mile time is. And here it is:



    and second run:



    my no. is 3108

    I had 16" wheels. I run 20 PSI of boost. It was 80 deg outside. You can see my setup. What should I do more to be able to run high 12 ?

    Run with race gas and meth, so you can increase timng.....

    also remove the spare tire, passenger seat and rear seats

    I did run 100 gas

    And I did shave my balls...

    Your 60' and R/T look good. It seems you just need to make more power or loose some weight.
    a 50hp shot of nitrous might do the trick, but who wants to use cheater gas?

    it takes practice to get the shifts and launch right, and whoever shaves their pubic hair and believes that they'll save about 1 sec off the 1/4 mile time must have a forest down there lol. Lose the spare tire, and well try different timing and boost settings.

    Yes but that could be all in the driving to get the better times and higher mph.

    Good R/T? You do know that a good light is .5-.6 seconds while his reaction times were well over 1 full second, that means he was still at the line when the green light came on. Anything above .7 is a bit slow.

    that's why it's a good idea to just run distilled water(for cooling purposes) and race gas. as the race gas will already give you the higher octane you need for substantial advanced timing

    FMIC>water injection. Air can be compressed and makes power while water cant do either.

    60' looks good
    RT is TERRIBLE!! (but doesn't affect time)

    I am assuming you are running revo, did you turn the sps up to 9? You are only ~ 104 MPH. So you are at the bare minimum power wise. You could probably run a 12.9 with a flawless run, but in reality you need more power and timing can give that to you.

    why not, race gas + FMIC + water injection?

    Yes, but most people run water/meth injection so they can run more boost or slightly more timing on pump gas since it will decrease the burn rate which is the same thing higher octane does.

    Some of the guys add about 3-5 with lemmiwinks which is about 2.25 to 3.75 degs seeing that 1 adv timing value on lemmiwinks is .75 degs.

    that's the main reason i run it.

    that and i feel that my motor is a lot safer now with the cooler IAT's and lower CF's. even on the higher timing..

    but what i really like, is if i rev the engine a bunch of times, i can hopp out of the car and grab the intake manifold and it will be ICE COLD to the touch. those are some cold IAT's.. race gas wont give you that

    Why are you running only 20psi? On 100 octane B9 or 24-25psi would be fine

    With 93 octane on Revo tuning I could run around 5 or 6 degrees of timing in the mid 80s. With meth going I can run 12-13 degrees of timing so double the timing.

    And when I ran the 1/4 mile with the GTRS on 100 octane and 20psi I had a similar time and mph (13.1 @ 103mph) Turn the boost to 24-25 and the trap went to 107mph and in the 12s.

    If you want to reach it next week, shave 200 pounds off of the car

    I'll take Race Gas over Water/Meth anyday. Water/Meth, in my eyes, is just a substitute for Race Gas.

    Run pump gas and when you want more power put some Race Gas in the tank and change your file on the ECu (or tweak SPS settings).
