    Can an ecu from a 2000 S4 (6-speed) be used in a 2000 A6 2.7 6-speed?

    I have one on hand that's already chipped, and wondering if I can use it, or if I need to sell it and get mine done.

    it does share the same engine there are different codes

    The ECU integrates with all the other controllers ion the car, I think.

    This would mean it is a completely different unit
