    I dont understand this how works?

    How does this work? Individual throttle bodies, I get that, but the whole open horns thing...no conventional intake? I've never asked my mechanic about it, and as I was browsing my 190E forums I found this...



    doesnt that just suck in straight hot air? I know that this isnt just for show,because I've been to a few meets recently and a guy pulled up popped his hood on his MK1 and he had a straight CF horn set up like this, walked away before I could ask him about it..all input is welcome!

    They're not really in the same category as most street bolt ons. They're excellent for tuning an engine's power band (stack height, etc.) to a certain rpm range, for example a track car that needs to produce most of its power in the upper rpm range.

    Also, a lot of the time you don't see ITBs cause they're covered inside some sort of intake fixture, so that they don't suck in hot engine air as you noted.
