Audi A4 exclusive... well...

Maybe I'm not at the age where I appreciate wood, least not in this combination... it doesnt flow with the beige/white .... SO do we get it here =D or is this just a teaser

edit: ahh i found the wood trim to go with this.. Fine grain almond beige

I'm not a fan of wood trim pieces but personally, the contrast between things works well.

Will we get it or not, no idea. Though in the past, folks have been able to get *some* of the colours that are part of the exclusive line but at a cost like anything else.

No R8 test drive unfortunately. Car was being delivered from Agincourt to Mississauga and apparently the differential in the car decided to pack it in. Did take a longer test drive of the A4. I'll have to try again on a weekend if the opportunity ever comes up.

I think the wood looks great, what I want to be able to change is that bland "aluminum" piece that stetches between the nav and the cluster. Kinda boring you can't avoid it and the S4 will have to share it with the A4.

Yes, that "aluminum" piece looks really cheap actually. Reminds me of like a G35 or something.

Tanner, the R8 is sitting right in front of the service garage door. No work is gonna get done on it until another day or so. This one is equiped with R tronic so it is not as fun to drive. But I'm sure it will still put a big smile on your face =D

The trim piece isn't all that bad actually, it's not that noticeable or does it look 'cheap' or stand out in a negative way when you're behind the wheel.

Well the one I drove from Ajax (Audi Canada) to Agincourt last week didn't have sport package on it. Actually, I haven't seen any of the new A4s on the lot with a sport package. Maybe the S-line will have something nice =).

The ones with the drive select option also has the sports suspension, the ones I test driven had the drive select option.

Thanks again to Alex and Audi of Mississauga for the rare opportunity to test drive the R8. I think even the folks that works at the other dealerships, who also borrow the same R8 from AOC, only get a ride in the car.

It was surprising to find out that the R8 is just sooooo easy to drive around in the city. Steering boost is similar to mine, well, when the servotronic relay has been removed but of course, felt better obviously. Visibility all around is great, something that I felt was better than say a 911. Sure the 911 turbo is faster or a stage II B5 S4, but the one thing that the 911 turbo and B5 S4 is missing, is that gorgeous V8 sound coming from behind vs in front of you like the RS4 - both at low RPM and high RPM. Even driving it around in the city, just blipping the throttle when downshifting for a corner or a stop, is just awesome. All the more reason why manual is better! :D

I totally would, unfortunately this is work weekend at the cottage and I'm stuck. I'd love to come check out the A4 and R8, the few A4s I've seen on the road look great. Can't wait for a TDI Avant, got to fit that into the budget
