What part of "onto part 2 of the project" did you not see?

Do you think I'd just post up a plain shaved, molded USP bumper and be happy about it?

You intending to put fogs back in, or LED thingys? Hows the car running? Is the new turbo setup done?

No fogs, grills or LEDs... something else.

Car is running great with the new Eurodyno software but I haven't had a chance to tune it much due to delays in getting the ECU back and then the bumper work from getting rear ended.

New turbo setup is done and we found out what was causing all of the issues. I'll leave that for another thread but lets say that the core of the cat was rattling around loose and acting like a plug.

Been driving around in this while waiting for the wagon to get released

Looks good Winston! I've got a few ideas for my S4 bumper I'd like to do sometime. Perhaps after another winter that destroys it like last...

I had the same problem with my 1.8. Kept blowing up 3" HFCs and then the honeycomb would rattle around and cause all kinds of problems.

To be honest if I knew of all the stupid issues I'd encounter doing this USP project I would have kept my S4 bumper instead.

Which Tapp file do you have?
    Customized GT3076 630cc file.

Can't wait for the 4WD Dynapack to arrive so I can get this thing tuned fast.

I just cant see what you could add to a shaved USP to bring about such a long wait and hype

I'm sure you have something up your sleeves and I am definitely excited to see what it is

Do you have a fuel return now or still returnless? And you have an 040 pump right?

Part 2 should be done hella faster than part one!

Still returnless and I have the upgraded 044 pump installed.

But lets leave this to another thread I'll start when I get the car back, do some tuning and I get some numbers posted up.

I haven't run fogs since my BT build since the intercooler pipes get in the way.

So I installed a pair of 50W resistors so I don't get a code and VAG'd the car from Canadian mode to USA mode to turn the fogs off (act as DRLs) when the car is on.

Don't mean to thread jack, but would I be able to get some info from you on this? I went with the kerscher front end, and my fmic piping doesn't allow fogs, so I'd like to try this.

Go to www.superbrightleds.com and do a search for resistor

You are looking for the 6ohm 50W one that looks like this for $5 each

I cut the harness, soldered that in place and haven't had any issues at all. Just DO NOT turn the foglight switch on as the resistors do get very hot burning off all that current.

I do miss my foglights and might fab up a bracket to hold those projector fogs on the VW Mk5

Re: Teaser: Part 1 of the new bumper is done

Shop guys used bondo, some special epoxy and fabricated a metal skeleton to reinforce the ribs.

The process to make this new bumper the way I want took much more work than I expected.
