I tried searching and put a number of different things in and i could not come up with anything. I just wanted to know who is still using them what kind of numbers are you getting? I currently have an opening where my turbo is supposed to be and I plan on filling it soon. Thanks for the help

John, I have a Turbonetics T3/T4 50 trim with the ball bearing option from turbonetics and a V-band adapter on the back. Its a .63 A/R and hardly has any shaft play. PM me if you want it, lowest I can go is $430 with the V-band adapter

yep, I loved mine...it was a .48 a/r though...sort of wish I had gone w/ the .63. It was awesome but left you wanting more power up top. Of course, coming from a k03, you'll think the car has rockets attached to it.

well that depends on how much power it puts down, but everything above a K04 is allowed in the BAT club.

BTW a T3/T04E 50 trim would look very good on a FR manifold.

BTW I am suprised no one has tried doing a T3/60-1 (61 lbs/min) or T3/T61(65 lbs) turbo, both are journal bearing and in the $688-$836 range.

Well thats to say that you actual have a BAT in the car, the BAT club is open to anyone running a turbo larger then K04 and he was asking to get into the FRAT club.

A true BAT setup would need 2 of the 3
    4" inlet
    T3 or larger flange
    400+awhp.

    Re: T3/T4 50 trim

if my motor didnt pop i was gonna switch to that around now...but next year im gonna get with arnold and see what we can get looking for 450whp on pump and 500 on racegas- so the 60-1 seems perfect...not to mention my shops owner is already buying my rods and more than likely my turbo so all ill need are either 800 or 1000cc injectors and a new flash from tap right aside from cams but they may becomng with in the week

That box just lets you keep the throttle wot which means the BPV won't open during shifts but you will still lose all boost between shifts since it decreases the rpm by cutting off the spark to all 4 cylinders. So your turbo will start spooling down either way you look at it.

Well you dont have to, there are plenty of larger non BB turbos and the new borgwarner extended tip turbos are journal bearing. There are a few journal bearing Garrett turbos that use the .70 a/r compressor housing that comes on the GT35r, the T61 even uses the GT35R compressor wheel and cost $836. I just dont know if I would feel comfortable running over 30psi on a garrett journal bearing turbo but I am sure others have done it.

There are a lot of people running those turbos you mentionead above on 1.8T 20Vs, they just don't post on these forums.

The T3/T61 aka T3/GT40 is basically the same as an SC61 made by Precision Turbo, those are quite popular with the Honday guys.

The 60-1 turbos are generally not as efficient @ high boost levels, the 60-1 is an older wheel technology. For the price difference any turbo with a 61mm 56trim wheel (from GT3582R) would be a better choice.

I understand all of that. This is why I dont see why more Audi A4 owners aren't running them. Plus not all A4 owners are looking to run 26+psi on their daily drivers.

When I talk 1.8t here I mean Audi 1.8t longitude engine, I dont included the transverse 1.8t since this is a Audi A4 forum.
