i got the plus kit from ecs tuning and did the install myself...

everything was included and the install went fine...

PureMS is a great shop and have great prices. I got my TB kit from them and it was perfect. I was of course concerned about getting the right parts b/c of the MY splits etc but I just left it up to him to figure out what I needed and everything was correct.

What does the "2002-1" mean??? I want to be sure the kit will fit my 02. It says the only difference is the serpentine belt but I want to get it all right the first time.

I would gather its a type-o but that is just a guess. If you're set on their kit just email them and ask before spending $$. I think they are a paid advertiser here on AZ so you can just PM them.

check your local shop. I know Induktion did a Pre-Waterfest sale where they were installing the equivalent of the ECS kit for super cheap. Seeing as i don't have the place or skill to do my own, it was a great deal.

How necessary are cam seals and crank seal? Some kits include them and others don't. My cam adjuster seals were replaced 2 years ago I believe if thats the same thing as cam seals?

The reason for the split is due to the serpentine belt. Everything else in the kit is the same for all AMB cars. We have these kits *in stock* and ready to ship, too! Local San Antonio and Austin customers can save a few bucks by picking their kit up in our store.

I got the exact kit. No problems. They had the best price.

On another note, I called regarding an auto part question unrelated to the kit. I wanted to order while on the phone. I was told just to do it online. It wasn't the friendliest experience.

So, the earlier 2002 models use two serpentine belts like the 2001 A4 and 2001 TT?
