Unforunately, it looks like your right. I guess knowone can make a semi good cold air intake that isn't ridicolously priced. So far i'm glad I used my money for a chip instead of an intake.

the only good CAI i know of right now is the GSG motorsports..but thats for the B7..dont recall any made for the B6

I bought my Magnaflows from Hottexhaust.com but i dunno about the quality of the intake. Probably wouldnt spend my money on it.

stay with stock air box. i dont see what's so bad about it. audi designs a very good intake system.

i had one and returned it because it did not fit the bi-xenons, it may be a good concept for hondas or other non turbo cars, but their intake is not worth it for our cars

Actually that AFE intake is really well made, my buddy had one and the fitment and quality was great. (non Bixenon's) But thats not saying I would ever waste my money on an intake when you can just buy a drop in filter and waste the difference on other parts!
