    So I installed a set of 8000k headlights (and no they are not blue they are like 6000k) but for some reason they are hard to start i have to turn my lights on and off a few times to get them goin but when on i can turn them off and turn them right back on with no problem what could be the problem my fogs do the same but i was told already to use relays but any help would be great

    you only swapped bulbs?

    yea just swap bulbs....they did seem a lil cheap but do you guys think upgrading the fuse will help

    A fuse either works or not. Seems like your ballasts are having problems firing the bulbs.

    it's a sign that you shouldn't have got 8,000k

    check the connection on the bulbs. I had the same problem once, and the connector was arcing bad. It melted half the base. To answer the question though.....You probably just need a better set of bulbs.

    8000k is nice but ima check the connection but maybe cheap tho

    imo, get 5000K bulbs. Best compromise with looks and still have plenty of lumens. You can get OEM Phillips 85122+ for about $100 per pair plus shipping at many online sites

    85122+ is not 5,000k. many people like to think so.

    well ill try to snap a pic of my lights if never said they are 8k you would think there 5 or 6k they are pretty damn white with a very very small hint of blue

    you're right, wrote the wrong ones down.

    ...no wait... I had them on my old car, the 85122+ were the color match ones which were the 5000K ones.

    ok so i check connections they are fine but i did notice that the metal ring around the light looked "burned/discolored" and during 1st start up the ballest had a loud "hmmm" with the 8k but no loud hmm wit factory 4k any ideas

    Its probably the connection on the bulb man. I had the same problem with a cheap set of 6000K.

    The 8000k really lights up nothing. It looks damn good though

    yea my 8k looks nothing like that its in the middle of the 2 but ima look into getting another set of 6000k or 8k from another company
