NE Ohio - 6th Annual Fall Valley Cruise - 10/19

2008 Fall Valley Cruise





When: Sunday, October 19, 2008
Time: 11:30am (leave on the cruise at noon)
Where: Parking lot corner of Steels Corners and Hudson Drive

This is a 70+ mile cruise throughout the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Lots of scenery to take in. Lots of twisty roads and elevation changes. It's an event you don't want to miss!

We will start meeting up at the parking lot located at the intersection of Steels Corners Rd., Hudson Drive, and Allen Road. It's located to the immediate East from the Steels Corners Rd. exit off of S.R. 8.

Grab a late breakfast or early lunch before the cruise starts. We'll make a stop for some ice cream half way through the cruise.



The cruise will end up at Panini's in Sagamore Hills to watch the Cleveland Browns battle the Washington Redskins (kickoff @ 4:15pm). Big screen TVs and huge (cheap) sandwiches.

For those who have them, bring along a 2-way radio (FRS) to keep communications going on road hazzards, animals, people, etc. Bring extra radios along to share with others. There are gas stations at the starting point, so it would be recommended to have a full tank before the cruise begins.

This is not a race. This is a cruise, so leave the attitudes at home. Don't push anyone or think you're better than someone else. That only leads to accidents (which has happened in the past). There's nothing to prove. The goal is to go out and enjoy a cruise through the Valley.

Just a reminder that the crusie is this coming Sunday! So far, weather is supposed to be nice, but a bit chilly (typical Fall weather). Should make the turbos happy and the leaves at peak color. Did a drive through the area yesterday. Roads are in good condition, and most trees are turning color.

Fall Valley Cruise Maps

We will take a break at Country Maid Ice Cream on OH-303 in Richfield (near I-271 and old Richfield Coliseum)

Part 2: Click Here - 23.9 mi – about 58 mins

We end at Panini's Bar Grill for enormous sandwiches and watch some Cleveland Browns action as they take on the Washington Redskins.

Somewhere along the cruise, we will take a small detour to a location for some photos.

Print out these maps and bring them along. This will help you if you take the wrong turn or get separated due to traffic, traffic lights, wildlife, etc.

Weather is going to be sunny and in the low 60s. Leaves are at peak color!!! Expecting 30-35 cars for the cruise. Should be a great time!
