    Boost Leak Testing Help

I was trying to check for a boost leak this past weekend using the method in the website

    http://a4mods.com/index.php?page=web...boostleak.html

I plugged the hole for the PCV return line.

When i started adding pressure to the system, i could hear what sounded like air passing through the oil (causing a sort of bubbling sound).

I had no idea if this was suppose to happen, so i immediately stopped and put everything back together.

You may ask why i am checking for a leak, well its because i just purchased the car and already fixed 2 vacuum leaks. Id like to be sure there is no other air leaks.

So if anyone has done a boost leak test, can you tell me if this is a normal sound.

Completely normal. I got that noise every time I try a boost leak test using the TIP. If you want to avoid the noise then start the boost leak test after the turbo but it's no big deal if it bubbles so I wouldn't bother.
