    Gremlins in the f'ing turbo

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok, so when I get to about 5500rpm the turbo backs off of boost (from ~20 to 10 or 11) for only a split second. Then it goes back to full boost.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks guys

Time to do vagcom logs, could be the car closing the throttle.

Throttle plate is most likely closing...try turning off the ESP and see if the Gremlins go away.

Weren't you going to look at your WG to figure out your late boost problem? I can not keep track anymore.

Ok so it's more like 6500 but look at 6500rpm in the actual boost.

I'm going to have my friend, an Audi ASE certified machanic, look at the wastegate to make sure everything is good there.

Re: Gremlins in the f'ing turbo

You can get by with the N75. I actually prefer it over the EBC for my set-up. Probably sell my EBC once I get my car back. Complete w/ the ash tray its molded into.

Just as the N75 is, the signal line coming from the compressor in the bottom of the MBC and the line to the wastegate to the side connection on the MBC. It removes one more electrical, ECU controlled part from the mix. Do it, even if its only to troubleshoot. N75 isnt ever going to make shit for power or spool I dont care what the BT setup is or who is running it. Doug seems to think his setup is god though, so he may be the only one to do so

Re: Gremlins in the f'ing turbo

Nope. I just dislike a lot of the decisions you have made in your set-up. Its robbing you of major amounts of power. That is the only reason why I give you a hard time (at times).
