    Drawback to removing EGR valve.

    My 3" turbo back w/ magnaflow just got 20 decibels louder, AT LEAST. Car pulls better without it though . Worse is that my exhaust was already loud, now its just too much, borderline straight pipe. Need a resonator now.

    Used the integrated engineering block off plate, easy to install. I eliminated most of the emissions hosing on the motor. I highly recommend this to anyone with a 2001+ 1.8t motor, it eliminated a lot of nonsense boost leaks and cleaned up the engine bay, much easier to work on. I'll take pics in the AM.

    This is the DIY I followed:

    that made ur exhaust louder? interesting

    I've also done this and i highly recommend it too. Its nice not to have to deal with the SAI pump when ur routing ur FMIC piping

    Better way to do this is by installing a AEB head, not only do you remove this valve you end up with a better flowing head for a BT and BAT setup.

    Damn, really? Did you sue for more than the value of the car?

    Ofcourse, they only offered me the value of the car without mods. I am entitled to the entire value especially when I am not at fault.

    only thing I'm not understanding is why we're in a thread from 9 years ago?

    @nynoah
    BOV = Blow Off Valve, which in itself probably answers my question. ;)

    Did it take 9 years to discover SAI is indeed not an EGR?
