Window Regulator or Green Carrier?

Ecs Tuning carries the green carrier piece I believe it's called for only $9. My regulator is messed up (window rolls down, wont roll up, does slowly). Question is..Can I just buy this carrier piece to fix my problem? Ive read its usually this piece that breaks. Also does anyone know how much the installation charge is on something like this. Thanks so much.

im very interested in this as well, mine was slowly going up but today stopped going up at all. i already have a regulator hopefully i can fix it tomorrow, its rainy in seattle!

If no one knows, I would give it a try anyway. It's only a $9 gamble that can save you a bit of money. Well, $9 plus the ridiculous ECS shipping rate of $210.
