Lojacked... Were is it?

So my a4 came Lojacked from the dealer... Anyone know were it is located on my car?? I was thinking about this the other day and wondered where they'd put it on my car

Also do you pay per month a fee?? B/C I havent been charged a penny for it.

i don't think you're supposed to know where it's installed, so thieves will not know where to look. from what i know, there are several locations to place the unit.

i made the dealer throw it into my new b8, so i didn't pay extra for it. there is no monthly fee, it's a 1-time fee and its pretty pricey($500+) but it pays for itself with discounted insurance. i don't remember how much, but i'm sure you can call your insurance to find out.

Really.. wow.. I had no idea.. I thought it would be like in a driver panel or something.. I wonder how they fit it up there and how long that takes them to install..

^damn... that's the last place i'd put it. especially since most thieves are going to rip the car apart for audio/interior bits.

that being said, how much does it cost to buy a unit/install it?

the lojack installers are encouraged to use diffrent installation locations on vehicles, so the predictability of where it will be is not good.... i know because i see them come out and do it at my work, being that mercedes-benz has tele-aid which does stolen car tracking, but the tele-aid unit is installed in the same place on each model of car, as where the lojack can be in a number of hidden inconspicous locations.

lol thats why no one subscribes to it, 250 a year just to get SOS and vehicle tracking, and almost 500 to get the concierge service which includes only 90 minutes of airtime, its ridiculous

lol. Its random place. Cause if you would know the location, then everyone would know. Then you could steal the car and throw that thing out before the cops even got called. lol. That would be pointless!
