Strange Noise...HELP!

Ok...well i heard this noise the other day and it went away so i didnt think twice about it (probably a mistake), but it came back today and it sounds so bad i dont wanna drive it until i know what it is.

the noise is like a buzzing chattering kind of noise and a little bit like a gear whine...possibly power steering? maybe transmission? timing belt? the engine also ticks some....sounds like its coming from the engine bay or under the car towards the front. i know i have an oil leak but i dont think thats the cause of the noise...

i'm hoping i dont need some huge expensive repair

any CEL.. loss of powr.. etc? could be something as simple as coil pack, which was like 30$ a piece.. while stealership will take cost of diagnostics, labor, parts, etc , -500$ u can buy like 25 magnum condom boxes for that much, and beeend ovvvaaa.

yeah...well my buddy and i are gonna dig through it as much as we can and see what we can find out

but i havent really driven it, so i dont know if there is any loss of power, i heard the noise and decided to consult the zine before i try anything else.

and i replaced the coilpacks a cpl months ago

i just checked my power steering reservoir and it was ~1cm below the min line....i'm gonna go get more power steering fluid from autozone and see if that fixes it...

autozone powersteering fluid + audi = devastation central..
just go to a vw or audi dealer and get it for 23 a bottle.. fill up and drive.. if it happens again then you know you got a leak or somethin..
