I'm not sure this is the right forum, but here goes. I'm looking at building a garage, and need to to know what the standard size of a 3 car garage is. Width x depth please. Thanks in advance.

    Re: garage question

Isn't this the kind of thing you should be talking to a contractor about?

    Re: garage question

    I'll actually help you.

My garage is two 12' wide by 20' long stalls with a work bench at the end that's about 3' deep. For working on cars, its alot smaller than I would like it to be. A Jaguar bareley fits in the garage, and the only truck that will fit in there is something the size of a ford ranger. so if you have a SUV or truck, you'll want bigger.

when i was at ford, our bays were about 20' by 30', with this size bay you can fit most vehicles, and have quite a bit of elbow room with the exception that if your storing tools and equipment in the same space its going to become cramped pretty quick.

its going to depend on your vehichles and what you want to do with the space, but look on google, their are actually forums where people talk about making garages and work spaces, they can give you lots of ideas and alot more help than i can.
