Car comes back Stage III tomorrow and it NEEDED it *PICS*

So I'm sure some of you read how my stocker Turbos blew so i figured might as well get some k04's Well anyway visited my buddies shop today to take some pics. The Blown turbo snapped off on the exhaust side and shot into the exhaust !!! haha. Also the stock motor mounts were so blown that the motor wasnt even being held in by them anymore......So of course ASP motor mounts are mounted now.

Bad Engine mounts... the metal was completely Shredded so the engine could use bounce around.



I spy with my little eye. Gen JDM alum inlets and k04's! Also visible RS4 clutch and ASP mounts ;)

I remember those days haha. Looks good. Hope everything goes well with the rest of the install. Take advantage to clean the engine/engine bay while it's out.

and as for the clutch.. im not replacing it yet. I can always do it later once this ones toast hehe. I just got done spending close 4k on all this shit ;)

next time pull the engine w/ trans together and save alot of work, i have done it both ways and the 2nd is alot easier, espially if you loosen the subframe

also 2x as easy to put back :) good luck

i was in the same boat, i was completeley out of cash, like it wasnt POSSIBLE to get a better clutch unless some vendor was handing out free clutches haha.... ive had my RS4 clutch for 10 months now, it was on stage 3- for 5 months then full stage 3 for the rest. on full stage 3 ive done maybe 10 1-2 shifts but ive never launched... thats just asking for problems. so you ll be OK if you dont drive like a beast

I'm not doing the work. My days of engine swaps are over. My buddy whos been wrenching his entire life is doing it. Normally i dont trust other people doing work on my cars but when the guys got 2+ $million in completely custom and/or restored show cars i think i can have faith in him. Hell he made it all look easy but he promised me he will never touch my car again ;)

Youre telling me. On a side note we just replaced the water pump, thermostat, belts and fan clutch on my jeep outside, while it was dark and storming. THAT was fun
