Wiper fluid icon will not go out after meth install

I have installed my meth (VAST kit) on my car.

I drained the wiper tank, and tapped it, then tested it out with some water just to make sure it wasn't leaking.

A day went by with the tank completely empty, until I could get some meth the next day. After I fill the tank, the icon still displays - constantly.

It does not beep and briefly display the low fluid icon - the icon is constant.

I did not remove the tank when tapping the tank, I just removed the wheel skirt and tapped it at the very bottom. Maybe I hit the sensor with the drill bit? but I think I would have saw a piece of plastic come out of the tank?

Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.

I would start with making sure sensor is plugged in. then check wires. make sure you didnt drill through them like you said.

That light only comes on when the sensor trips it, usually because there is an open circuit because of low fluid. so if its still on and there is plenty of fluid, then that tells me there must be an open circuit somewhere else causing it to trip the light.

Thats my 2 cents anyway. I expect a check in the mail monday

I never unplugged the sensor. I guess I'll jack it up again, take the wheel and wheel skirt off and see whats cookin' in there.

Haven't really had time to test it too much, I don't think you're going to notice much as far as the butt dyno goes. I think you will just notice the car doesn't get heat soaked.

After 3 or 4 hard runs with my car you can notice it's down on HP once it gets hot, I think the meth will help this.

I'm going to get a tune for the meth as well and see how that goes.

You know what, I was just searching on the forums (on AW) and it seems that the sensor doesn't like mineral water.

The mineral water mixed with meth does not conduct electricity, which trips the sensor.

I think next batch of meth I'll run straight up water/meth instead of mineral water/meth.

You know what else doesn't like mineral water? Your motor.

why are you running mineral water? You should be running distilled water as a mix.

Re: Wiper fluid icon will not go out after meth install

ive heard mixed reviews on using the washer tank as the sump for the w/m kit. People say the pump is gravity fed? is this true? or is there no reason mounting the motor next to the ABS pump.
