Mmi Update

Hello everybody, before everybody tell me to do a search, i did do that. I found couple treads that aren't that clear, i need something that will explain me these step by step. Ok, here's what happened. I have 05 c6 and it has the mmi version 33. something. And i know if i update it i get the 44. version, which eliminates the warning screen + other enhancements (correct me if im wrong). So i go to the dealer and they are telling me that its not covered under the warrnety (which i assumed before going there). They wanted to sell a cd costing 300.00+ for the newer version. Is there any way i could download a copy and do it my self? If you guys have a link for a thread that has details please copy and paste it or any other input of yours will be great...

1st, you can go to navteq and buy the 08 version cd for 199, second you can download it on torrents, and last but not least.... go to the dealer and tell them you have something weird going on with the mmi.... like you push mute and then you push it again to unmute..... and it does nothing for 10 seconds, next you might want to say that it does not show tire pressure or anything just make it up, then they will update your mmi for free because they think its software related. mine is in the shop right now doing just that, and guess what i got my mmi updated to 07 model!! but i still need the 08 nav cd. hope that helps.

and btw.... the 07 model update will take that anoying "I accept" shit off!!
