So i was getting ready to change my oil and DV, pulled the belly pan off, and what do ya know, oil all over near the DV..so i said F it, just in case pulled the boost tubes and intake tube to take a quick look, and what do ya know, intake hose is Soaked, intercooler tubes and intercooler itself is soaked with oil...I noticed my boost was flucuating a couple days ago and i have a feeling something isgetting ready to blow on me, im thinkin either turbo seals or pcv system....Any help would be greatly appreciated...Time to go BT...

This is similar to what I described when I changed my DV.

What does the oil look like? Is it black and watery. I might take some pics of mine tomorrow.

    Re: I think i have a problem

im guessing youre not the original owner? the huge mack truck filters are located right above the frame and are quite easy to make a mess of things if you dont put some spill pads up there or something. i have oil residue on my shit too from previous owners messy oil changes.

question-is the oil thin and "drippy" or is it relatively thick and kinda clumpy?

    Re: I think i have a problem

I don't have any symptoms other than the oil residue. I'm APR Stage 1 and seem to be boosting fine. Is there any way you can take good pics tomorrow? I was going to and add them to my thread. Maybe we can compare and trace our leaks together. I mentioned it to a guy here at Forge (Orlando), and he seemed to think it was a hose leak.

    Re: I think i have a problem

As Dirtybrd pointed out some oil in the intake is normal. Oil vapors are being routed through the intake via the pressure regulating valve and it tends to collect throughout the boost tract (hoses, intercooler, etc). What is not normal is the oil getting out of the boost tract. It sounds to me like you still have a boost leak somewhere as evidenced by your loss of boost as well as the oil that is collecting on your hoses. The oil can't get out if the system is properly sealed. I would recommend doing another pressure test.

    Good luck!

Be sure to poke and wiggle the hoses a little as you pressurize the system. Sometimes the leak isn't immediately evident until you stress the shape of the hose slightly and then it will open up.

    Good luck!

I'm too chicken to run without the belly pan - that thing will hold a quart of oil. I'm afraid to know what kind of goodies the pan is stopping me from seeing!

non conclusive..lol...apparently south jersey is poor and no shoo around here has a smoke tester, so it still sits in the driveway until i figure out what to do...also i went to a couple diff shops today to get my oil leak looked at and they all said take it to the dealer....This SUCKS balls, so i gotta find a new plan of attack..
